Saturated Polyester Resins
Zakłady Chemiczne "Organika-Sarzyna" started production of saturated polyester resins in 2006. Saturated polyester resins are the products of polycondesation reaction between multifunctional organic acids and multihydroxy alcohols. Depending of molar ratios of substrates as well as polycondesation parameters, it is possible to obtain different types of resins, which differ in molecule structure and number of reactive carboxyl groups.
Saturated polyester resins are one of the main components for production of powder coatings compositions, which are getting the most popular coatings in the world.
Saturated polyester resins offered by Zaklady Chemiczne "Organika-Sarzyna" are terminated with carboxyl groups (acid values of about 30 to 90) and can be used in hybrid systems with epoxy resins or in systems hardened with Primid.
Powder coatings compositions can be applied by electrostatic method - CORONA, as well as - TRIBO.
Use of powdered coatings, based on saturated polyester resins, allows to eliminate organic solvents which are harmful for natural environment, allows applying coatings thinner than 100 micrometers and influences reducing of the costs of painting.
Thanks to use of powder coatings, it is possible to obtain aesthetical coatings with very good mechanical properties and resistant to atmospheric conditions.
